These USB card schematics reveal how to connect an antenna. From the pictures it really looked like there was supposed to be a jack at the end of the antenna PCB. Just solder it right on the card. You’ll need to trim the gray plastic case that snaps together to allow it to fit through. I knew that I was going to build an antenna, but wanted to do so very cheaply. This is a 50 ohm system according to the Intersil docs. Its the same stuff the Lucent people get to use. There are no tools yet to check the card link status and such that I know of yet for wlan-ng, that is. I’m just curious here.
You also need the pcmcia-cs package just to compile the wvlan driver. On some machines you may have to restart it manually. When that failed, I searched for all items between and mhz created in the last year use the advanced search. Anyway, if this does make it to him, here’s some info about the adapter: PC1 uses a Hardware version 2 card and have no problems with netstumbler.

It would be nice to better match a given antenna to this card. I wanted to find out how to add one. It’s kind of a pain. Personally, I wouldn’t know. The other is connected straight to a small swivel antenna. But the driver is by Ralink technology inc. This had excellent results. As you can see from the picture of the USB board, they just left one antenna lead empty. That should do it.
You can easily configure the card with iwconfig.

Treat your gun like your genitals, only whip it out when it’s absolutely necessary. I used an old piece of thinnet 10base2 wire because it is easy to find and no one wants it. We will do basically the same thing – leave one PCB anteanna in tact, mxd replace the other with an external jack.
J] Different chipset, non-compatible. Also, I connected the external antenna to each of the onboard leads, and neither w2l80 to give any better performance than the other, so I suspect that it doesn’t matter which one you use. There are snaps along the side that you need to pry.
And best of all, it has a free connector on the end. I was hoping to find a good example of how someone did this in a real production on the FCC pages. So here are the docs: How ever this card does not registre in netstumbler.
If you put a BNC jack on the antenna, you only need to get one adapter, a pass thru. There are two working drivers for this card.
